This website is operated by Taito Intelligence, trading as Taito Intelligence – The Skills Lab (“Taito”, “we”, “us”, “our”), registered at Rabenhauptstraat, 9725 CC Groningen, the Netherlands under company number 42077064 with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK). Our VAT identification number is NL005476685B70.

2.These terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of taitointelligence.com and your purchase of continuing professional development sessions from us. By placing a booking you confirm that you accept these terms and have authority to enter into this contract, whether on your own behalf or on behalf of a school or organisation.

If you are booking for an institution, you confirm you are authorised to bind that institution, and it becomes jointly responsible for payment.

3.The sessions we offer

We offer professional development sessions for educators, including our Finnish STEAM CPD Sessions, delivered in partnership with Eduna Finland, and our AI Focused CPD Series. Session outlines on this site describe what we currently intend to cover. Content, facilitators and running order may be adjusted where this does not materially reduce the value of the session.

4.CPD accreditation status

Sessions are offered on the basis of the content described, and you should not book in reliance on accreditation being granted, or granted by any particular date.

5.Booking and formation of contract

Adding a session to your cart is not a booking. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms only when we confirm your booking by email after payment is successfully taken.

We may decline or cancel an order before confirmation, for example where a session is full, where a price or description was published in error, or where we suspect fraudulent use of a payment method. If we decline an order you have already paid for, we refund you in full.

6.Prices, currency and tax

Prices are shown per delegate per session. Our base currency is the euro (EUR). We natively support payment in the following currencies: EUR, GBP, USD, SAR, AED and MYR. Where your location matches one of these, checkout presents prices in that currency and you are charged in it.

• If your local currency is not one of those listed, you are charged in euros. Any other currency figure shown on this site is an approximate conversion for convenience only and is not a guaranteed exchange rate.
• Your bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion rate or a foreign transaction fee. Those charges are between you and your provider.
• Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect bookings already confirmed.
• Where tax applies to your purchase, the treatment shown at checkout applies.

7.Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout and are never received, processed or stored on our servers. Your use of Stripe's checkout is also subject to Stripe's own terms.

We receive confirmation of payment along with your name, email address, and the details you provide in the booking form. If payment fails or is later reversed, we may suspend or cancel the booking.

8.Group registrations

Where we advertise a group rate for teachers registering together, the following applies:

• Group rates are available only to delegates from the same school or the same school network, and only where the group is arranged with us in advance by email. We will confirm the rate and issue a dedicated group registration link.
• Group rates apply only to bookings made through that link, within any period we specify. They cannot be applied retrospectively to bookings already made at the standard price, and cannot be combined with any other offer.
• There is no minimum group size. We may ask for reasonable evidence that delegates belong to the same school or network.
• Each delegate in a group is bound by these terms individually. Sections 9 and 10 (rescheduling, cancellations and refunds) apply to each place separately, and any refund is of the group price actually paid for that place.
• We may withdraw or change the group rate at any time. Withdrawal does not affect group bookings already confirmed.

9.Attendance, joining details and rescheduling by you

We will send joining details and any technical requirements ahead of the session. It is your responsibility to provide an accurate email address, to check for our messages, and to ensure you have a suitable device and internet connection.

If you cannot attend, contact us as early as possible. Requests to transfer to a later date are accommodated where practical, subject to availability. Non-attendance without notice does not entitle you to a refund or transfer.

10.Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a confirmed booking and receive a full refund if you notify us at least 7 days before the session start time. Cancellations after that point are not generally refundable, though we will consider requests sympathetically where there are exceptional circumstances.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU). If you are booking as a consumer rather than on behalf of a school or organisation, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of the day we confirm your booking, without giving a reason. To withdraw, email info@taitointelligence.com with a clear statement of your decision (you may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to). We will refund all payments received from you, to the original payment method, within 14 days of receiving your notice.

Because sessions are often delivered within the 14-day period, at checkout we ask for your express consent to begin providing the session before the withdrawal period ends, and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once the session has been fully delivered. If you withdraw after the session has started but before it is complete, you pay a proportionate amount for what has been delivered.

Model withdrawal form: “To Taito Intelligence, Rabenhauptstraat, Groningen, the Netherlands, info@taitointelligence.com: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following session(s): [session name and date]. Booked on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email: [your email]. Date: [today's date].”

Where the 14-day right does not apply (for example institutional bookings), our 7-day policy above governs.

Refunds are made to the original payment method, in the original currency. We are not responsible for exchange rate movements between payment and refund.

11.Changes or cancellation by us

Occasionally we may need to change the date, time, format or facilitator of a session. Where a change is significant, we will offer you a transfer to an alternative date or a full refund.

If we cancel a session outright, you receive a full refund. Beyond that refund, we are not responsible for incidental costs you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation booked independently.

12.Intellectual property and session materials

All materials, slides, workbooks and recordings we provide remain the intellectual property of Taito or our partners, including Eduna Finland.

• Materials are licensed to you for your own professional use and for use in your own teaching practice.
• You may not resell, publish, or distribute our materials, or use them to deliver competing training.
• You may not record, stream or photograph a live session without our prior written consent.
• Where a session is delivered to an institution, the licence extends to staff who attended, not to the institution's wider network.

13.Acceptable use and conduct

Our sessions are professional environments. We may remove a participant, without refund, for conduct that is abusive, discriminatory, or that materially disrupts the session for others.

You must not misuse this website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with its operation or security.

14.Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings.

Our sessions provide professional development and general guidance. They do not constitute advice on any specific pupil, staffing decision, safeguarding matter, or legal or regulatory obligation of your school, and you remain responsible for decisions you take in your own setting.

15.Events outside our control

We are not liable for failure to perform where that failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness of a facilitator, civil disruption, failure of public telecommunications networks, or restrictions imposed by a government authority. In such cases we will offer a transfer or refund.

16.Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

17.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place your booking is the version that applies to that booking. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

18.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and the courts of the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where local law gives you that right.

1.Introduction

This policy explains what personal data Taito Intelligence, trading as Taito Intelligence – The Skills Lab, collects when you use taitointelligence.com or book a CPD session, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

We are the data controller for that information. Our registered address is Rabenhauptstraat, 9725 CC Groningen, the Netherlands and you can contact us about privacy at info@taitointelligence.com.

2.What we collect

When you enquire

• Your email address and the content of your message.

When you book a session

• Identity and role: your name, job title or position, and the school or organisation you work for.
• Contact details: email address, WhatsApp or telephone number including country dialling code, and country.
• Booking details: the sessions selected, amount paid, currency, and the date of purchase.
• Billing information collected by our payment provider, which may include your billing address.

What we never receive

Technical information

• Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, which may include IP address, browser type and pages requested.
• Stripe determines an approximate location from your IP address in order to display prices in a local currency.

3.How we use your data, and our legal basis

• To provide the session you booked: scheduling, joining instructions, materials and follow-up. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To take payment and issue refunds. Basis: performance of our contract.
• To respond to your enquiry. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• To keep accounting and tax records. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
• To prevent fraud and secure our site. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our business and customers.
• To send you information about future sessions, where you have asked for it or where you are an existing customer and we are permitted to do so. Basis: consent, or legitimate interest. You can opt out at any time.

4.Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on this site.

• Local storage. Your browser stores your shopping cart, so the site works as expected between visits. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
• Stripe. The checkout sets its own cookies, which Stripe uses to operate the payment form and to detect fraud. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

5.Who we share your data with

• Stripe: payment processing, fraud prevention and currency presentment.
• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd): we send joining links and session reminders to the WhatsApp number you give at booking. Your number and the message content pass through Meta's systems under Meta's own privacy policy and terms.
• Our hosting and email provider: stores the site, our booking records and our mailbox. Booking notifications are sent through our own mail server rather than a third-party marketing platform.
• Eduna Finland: where necessary to deliver a Finnish STEAM session you have booked, we may share the attendee's name and organisation with our delivery partner.
• Professional advisers and authorities: accountants, auditors, or regulators, where we are required to disclose.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

6.International transfers

We operate internationally and our providers may process data outside your country, including in the European Economic Area and the United States (for example Stripe and Meta/WhatsApp). Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, depending on the countries involved.

7.How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: kept while we deal with your question and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
• Booking and payment records: retained for 7 years to meet accounting and tax obligations.
• Marketing preferences: kept until you opt out, plus a record of the opt-out so we do not contact you again in error.

8.Security

Booking records are written to storage that is not publicly reachable from the web, and the site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to our mailbox and records is limited to people who need it to run the business.

No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

9.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete data we no longer need;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to opt out of marketing at any time;
• ask us to restrict processing while a concern is investigated;
• receive certain data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these, email info@taitointelligence.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the period the law allows.

10.Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator, which for us is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

11.Children

This site and our sessions are aimed at teachers and education professionals, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website. If a child's data reaches us in error, contact us and we will delete it.

12.Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Stripe applies automated fraud checks to payments, which may result in a payment being declined; if that happens you can contact us and we will arrange your booking manually.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
